Halloween is just a few days away and we are ready! We've carved pumpkins and completed the finishing touches on our costumes. Below are some pics and video for your enjoyment...

Bella entered a pumpkin carving contest at school. We'll find out on Friday if she receives a ribbon for her efforts.

J is chillin on Sat. night after the exam.

Belle painting on the back patio with her new painting supplies.
After soaping up Lily's hair one night, she decided to put on her shades...too funny!

"This totally beats the ponies at the fair, Dad!"

Carving Pumpkins video:

Here's the costume I sewed for Bella. It was my first major sewing project. Prior to this, I have only played around with patchworking blankets and pillows, so this was quite a feat, pattern and all. After many hours of cutting, sewing, seam ripping, sewing, seam ripping, sewing, crying, cursing, and a few drinks, it's done. It turned out fairly well if you don't look too closely at the stitching in certain places. We also made pom-poms to match (and of course, Lily needed her own set, too).

In case you didn't know (many have asked), the IJA letters are her initials (Isabella Jade Adams).

First, we have Bella posing in her cheerleading way:

Then Lily couldn't take it anymore, and had to do it, too:
"I like peanut butter!"

Just another day at the office. Little did we know how much attention we'd attract. Apparently, we're tall and the hats seemed to "float" above the partitions as we moved around.
