Dedication Sunday

The Lord really blessed our weekend for Lily's birthday and the girls' baby dedication that Sunday. My parents were able to come down for it all, the weather was beautiful, and everyone was healthy. It was so totally lovely.

Our Pastor asked us pick to a verse for him to read that Sunday. That was quite the task. After praying about it, I had it narrowed down to a handful of verses that I thought really captured the essence of our family. Jason helped me, of course, and we narrowed it down to two. I consulted with the Pastor and he said he'd read both, and bless his heart, with all the excitement of the day, neither of them got read. :-) So, I thought I would share them with you now:

1 John 3:2-3 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

Philippians 2:13-15 For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.
